About
Built by people who run the deals
Acquisition Engine came out of doing this work rather than out of a product plan. It is a Chivvy product, and it is used on live mandates before anything ships.
Why it exists
Acquiring an accountancy practice is not a complicated transaction. It is a long one, with a lot of small things that go wrong quietly: a firm you wrote to twice, a diligence request nobody chased, a client letter that went out after the seller had already told them. Every one of those is a handover between tools.
The software that exists is either a virtual data room that starts at heads of terms, or a CRM that was built for something else. Neither of them helps with the part that actually takes the time — finding firms worth approaching and getting a conversation started.
How it is built
Everything in the product is used on real mandates. Where a figure is estimated it says so. Where a firm is excluded, the reason is on the record. Where an approach might breach the marketing regulations, it does not go out. Those are not features anyone asks for in a demo, and they are the ones that matter on deal forty.
Who we are
Acquisition Engine is built and operated by Chivvy Ltd, a UK software company — company number 17040454, registered in England and Wales. Chivvy builds software that takes routine work off people and tells them where the business actually stands.
See it on your own mandate
The most useful demo is against a real brief — what you are buying, where, and at what size. You will see your own long list, not a demo account.
