Confidential long before it is announced
Acquisition talks are the most sensitive thing a firm does. The platform is built on that assumption rather than having security added to it later.
Separation at the database
Row-level security is enforced in Postgres, not just in the application. A client account cannot read another client's deals even if the interface is bypassed entirely.
Read-only client portals
An acquirer's portal is scoped to that acquirer and cannot write anything except an answer in a question thread. Documents appear only when explicitly marked as shared.
Full access log
Every document view and download is recorded against the user, the document and the deal, and is visible to the deal team.
UK and EEA hosting
Application and database are hosted in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Sub-processors are listed in the privacy notice.
Encrypted throughout
TLS in transit, encryption at rest, and signed time-limited URLs for document access rather than public links.
Sessions that expire
Sign-in by email link or password. Sessions expire, and an account can be suspended immediately where a deal's confidentiality is at risk.
On outreach and the law
Approaches are checked against suppression lists and against the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations before anything is sent. Firms that are not body corporate are held back rather than emailed. A firm that asks not to be contacted is blocked across every mandate at once, and anything already queued to them is cancelled.
